When my old truck that I had owned for more then five years began missing, I let Jonah hook the tester thingy to it and he said it had a burnt head gasket and he would fix it for $1,000.00 and it would take up to a month to get the job finished. Bad move on his part because for a thousand bucks I can buy a good old car and NOT be stranded for an entire month, needless to say I didn't have a thousand dollars. But I did save, did without, went hungry and bought another vehicle. I sold my truck and put that money into making the new car as reliable as possible. But I should have took it elsewhere. By the way, it was no burnt head gasket, it was a clogged injector, simple fix. Weird how I let Jonah change the gas filter and with in days the injector gets clogged. And I only changed the filter because I like to keep my vehicles maintained, and it had been five years.
Reading these reviews, almost everyone has complained about the time it took, from start to finish, to get the job completed, but they have been mostly satisfied with the job it's self, not I.
The car I purchased had been sitting for some time because the previous owner had bought a different one. I liked it, everything worked on it; cold air, warm heat. Cruise control. The only thing missing was a moonroof (LOL). The right, front axle was throwing out a little grease, but it wasn't making any noises and I probably could have drove it for a long time before having to replace it, but I like to get things done and over with. So here we are, sitting in the hot sun for three hours waiting as we had no choice but to wait because the car was on jacks and dismantled. The new axle is installed and a couple bolts put back into the sway bar, which Jonah said it would be fine without them, I like what I am entrusting mine and other people's life in, and other's I meet on the road, to be complete and whole. And I won't get into the nine starters I ended up putting on that truck because one of Jonah's workhands took a brace off and never put it back on. NINE STARTERS!!! But that's another review that may or may not come. I will say, Jonah and the mechanics gots them a little thing going they call "job security", I know because they joked about it, which I think is what happened with the axle deal. They wiggled and beat and banged and got the old axle out, but they didn't check to make sure the seal was still intact. Drove it home the next morning it wouldn't budge, no transmission fluid. Filled it up, went back to Jonah's but they said neither parts store had the seal and it would be tomorrow...? I went straight to advanced auto, bought the seal that they DID have, went back to Jonah's and, he hated to, but he let his mechanic put it in and that was another three hours in the boiling hot sun and another $40.00 for labor. Needless to say, it's still leaking. Went back to Jonah's, he said he would look at it for free, I said H E L L N O. Jonah, nor his team will ever touch another vehicle of mine. EVER. And this is just my opinion from my experience, but he charges $90.00 an hour for labor.....NINTEY BUCKS!!! The usual rate for a certified mechanic in Kentucky is $30.00 an hour, and that was no certified mechanic working on my car, I believe he was using youtube to see how to do the job and is why he would go in that garage and stay for what seemed like forever, while i sat in the hot sun just waiting. How do they gauge the time they spend on one vehicle in order to apply the correct fees? Is that the reason for the long waits? They let you pull in, say yeah, we can fix it, raise that hood, jack it up....then you might see them again in thirty minutes or more. It's crazy and you're treated like you're stupid or something. But guess what, I got youtube too, Im just not physically able to do it myself, otherwise, I know exactly what you know about fixing a vehicle. but your labor is not worth $90.00 bucks an hour. and thanks a lot for tearing up my car.

After blowing out a tire on the way up from North Carolina, H&H was the only place nearby that had a tire in stock for me. Jonah was extremely accommodating and had new or used tire offerings available. He swapped out my spare with a new (very affordable) tire and we were on our way quickly.

I'm glad i found H&H so i had peace of mind to enjoy my trip knowing i can return home safely. Thanks Jonah!

We were visiting out of town and unexpectedly had a flat. We just searched a tire shop near us and this one popped up. We went there. They were still open after closing hours and repaired and pluged our tire and did it right then and there

Jonah is a SUPERSTAR!!! We drove from Ohio to Beattyville for a wedding. Got stuck on a bad hill and our radiator line got cracked in the process. Jonah took the aluminum line off ( a part that had to be ordered from a dealership that would take weeks), welded it back together and got my family back on the road and safely back to Ohio. 5 stars is not enough. This man and his shop are life savers! And if we are ever back in Beattyville it's to say hi to our new lifelong friends at H&H Tires .We highly recommend them to anyone in need of vehicle repairs!

It takes a long time to get your vehicle done, very cluttered place but the guy that runs it is good at what he does. He don't have many workers but still gets the job done. So if it's something major and you need it quickly, this isn't the place for you.

I have never left a review before, but was so compelled by the kindness and helpfulness of this shop, I had to. We were visiting the area this past weekend and woke up to a flat tire. On a Saturday when other places were closed, this shop answered my call and helped to remove the sharp item from my tire and patch the whole in a few minutes! All for 8 dollars. I believe the man's name was Tim and he was very kind and helpful!
