My car broke down right outside of Wakeeney at about 8pm on Wednesday night. I called Old 40 Auto right at open on Thursday morning and immediately two men were at the hotel helping me start my car. After my car started they had me follow them to the shop and they immediately began looking at my car. I ended up needing an alternator which couldn’t come in until Friday morning. Candice was amazing and drove myself and my friends to the hotel and picked us up so I could get the loaner car. She made me feel confident that my car would be fixed and turned a very unfortunate situation into a good experience. They texted me at 8 am Friday that they were working on my car and I was back on the road by 10:30. It was so clear to see that they truly care about their customers and want to help in any way they can. This was an amazing experience and I would recommend Old 40 Auto Care to anyone. Best service ever, I was on a road trip to look up old friends. Staying in Wakeeney and my pickup would not start at the hotel, I called Old 40 Auto Care. They came to the hotel got it started, went to their shop and they had me back on the road in less than two hours. GREAT SERVICE AND FANTASTIC PEOPLE. Thank you Jesse and Candice

My sweet Dad, Tim, stopped by your shop last week during his trek from TN to CO. He was in desperate need of help, and was lucky to land in WaKeeny, a little town i’ve never heard of, that i’m thankful for now. You guys not only helped him get on his way, but made a huge difference in his perspective for that trip. He didn’t tell us any of this happened until tonight, when he made it home. As everyone can attest, breaking down during a 1,000 mile road trip is no fun. However, if it has to happen, I couldn't think of a better place than Wakeeney, KS. Jesse and Candace came to our hotel, assessed our needs (bad starter and corroded battery cable), and had us going the next day. They also found several things our dealer at home missed (or "fixed" incorrectly) on our pre-trip inspection. Oh, did I mention their caring, friendly attitude? Wish we lived closer...

We got a flat heading out to Denver on our road trip. They were able to help us diagnose that the tire couldnt be plugged put on the spare for us and helped us locate where we could get a tire back in Hays. Top notch service
