I am not happy at all witb this school when we first started going here 3 yrs ago it was a great school! Them staff changes last yr was bad very bad the bullying is out of control the staff does nothing aboaut it! They even went as far as to making it out to being my childs fault! Well this yr alot of the same bullying it not being dealt with! They are short staffed and the staff they do have dont care about the kids well being! Not to mention it is a school for dance and performing arts which has not been an option last yr or this yr because they dont have the teacher for it! And we lost some of the best staff they had when the new yr started such as mrs Robinson! Anyway very unhappy!!

Our grandchildren attend and use to attend Buckner Performing Arts Magnet School and the staff and teachers are just wonderful and caring. They treat these kids as if they are their very own. That helps a child want to learn and work harder to achieve their goals. Thank you Buckner Performing Arts Magnet School for the guidance you have given and are giving our grandchildren. In six years that I had spent here as an elementary schooler, I can't say that there was one day without being bullied, not only by students, but it only being perpetuated by staff. I was beaten up and the staff made me think that I deserved it. It had been engrained in my head by the staff that if I told someone that I was being bullied that I would be the one punished. In Buckner, I was never taught what a verb was, what a cell was, etc. and I had to compensate on my own by teaching myself things at home. As it turns out, I love to learn and learning is my favorite thing in the world, but as an elementary schooler I never knew that because I associated school with drama and bullying and school was the place where I got beaten up by other kids and humiliated by people who were supposed to be mature adults.
