This is a great Kansas tradition. The oldest and biggest festival in the State. There are many activities and events during the weekend. Bands from at least three states compete and march.

We had a great time at this festival! The parade was almost 2 hours with lots of bands, floats, and antique cars. There were about 35 craft booths and tons of food options. Appeared to be a good number of rides and games for kids.

Several events go on, throughout the week. Talent show and Queens Coronation. Performances by actors and actresses for a themed play/musical. Carnival rides and lots of food stands and trucks. There is a DooDah parade for adult to dress up in costume, a kiddie parade for the children and then a Grand parade filling the streets with unique floats created by a local citizen and the sidewalks full of friendly smiles and faces. The abundance of people who travel from afar to enjoy this event. Meeting old friends and making new ones. Leaving you with precious memories. For a small it town it has a lot to offer.

Longest running festival in Kansas, the whole downtown is transformed for the festival, carnival, food trucks, bandstand, shows at memorial hall. Marine Corps band playing. The list can go on and on, if youve never visited the festival you should.

Has a great parade with lots of floats and lots of marching bands. They have great food vendors. The carnival has a lot of good rides. They have live music on an outdoor stage in the middle of it all.
