This is a business that has been here for 40 years. One of the good old boys. Unfortunately a dying breed from a better time. Just got my brakes fixed on my wife's Ford explorer here, great gentleman and great mechanic!! Other shop in town was trying to tell me I needed new rotors wanted to cherge me way to much. This gentleman was honest and did a fantastic job. Thanks again!!!!

If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. We called to set up an appointment for the following day to get the brakes checked. We asked if we could drop it off early since we had another appointment scheduled at the time we were supposed to drop it off and they told us we could. No one was there to receive the car when we dropped it off (yes, it was during posted business hours) so we called 3 times over the next 5 1/2 hours and no one would answer the phone. When we arrived to check on the car (an hour after the scheduled appointment time) they hadn’t even started. The mechanic was exceedingly rude and informed me that he didn’t know when he would get to it, demanded to know why I called him three times, and informed me that he “didn’t answer his phone every five minutes.” Needless to say, we left and will certainly not be back!

We have used Mc Dow for all the muffler work we have needed 2 Mazdas 1 Firebird and most recently my old Chevy truck someone had cut a piece of the muffler pipe out and Mr McDowell quickly and efficiently replace the missing piece at an affordable price.
