I was visiting from out of town. I drove there from Virginia on the way there. My car started to have a rattling wobble sound. A family member recommended A1 so I went there. Shannon was very nice. I left my car there on Thursday and I didn’t get it back until the next Tuesday , as I drove the car back to Virginia, the wobble rattling was still there in the six days they had my car no one ever called me. I had to call Or go by to find out the status of my vehicle when the work was completed, Shannon did give me a discount. I was appreciative of that, but they didn’t fix the problem. There was low or no communication. It wasn’t a great experience at all. I would not recommend them. I would actually recommend to go somewhere else.

If you have a vehicle that doesn’t mean much to you then there are a number of places here in Independence that you can take it to for repairs. If you care about your car, if you care about your vehicle being fixed properly the first time…then this is the place. Having said that if these guys are backed up then try Red Tiger; the ONLY two places in this town I trust.

Tried charging me over 2500$ for a loose wire. Do not take your vehicle to here. New owner is a scammer at its finest. Couldn't get my car started and told me it would cost over 2500$ just to fix. Sold the car to someone and they got it running in less than 2 hours. Lazy employees and a lazy owner. Waste of time, money, and stress.

Edit, the fact they only reply to any good rating goes to show they are neglectful, unprofessional, lazy, insecure, and superficial

I wouldn't go anywhere else!! These guys are honest, friendly and don't make me feel like I'm stupid because I'm a woman. When I was a child my family owned a service station and my father ran a 24-hour road service on the Kansas turnpike. This place reminds me so much of the quality service my family provided in the '70s!! Very rare today and so needed!!

They was great. They got me done really quickly and for a fair price. I was in a huge bind with having a vehicle to go on the road with for work, and they squeezed me in and got everything knocked out in 1 day. I've definitely found my new shop anytime any of my vehicles needs to go to a shop. The owner was really polite and great to deal with. They found several issues and did their best to keep it in the realm of affordable. Some mechanics recommend work that isn't needed, but they didn't even try that. I didn't notice the issues but the moment they pointed them out, you could 100% see they was correct. I had other issues that didn't mention needing fixed, because it wasn't as big of a deal and those other problems could wait a tad. They only pointed out the actual serious/risky problems to ignore. Professional, affordable, honest, pleasant & quick. What more could you ask for in a shop?

This company is a total rip off. Change my motor overcharged me 2444.16. Parts and work I didn't ok. The rebuilt transmission was 4 months old. When I got the truck it wouldnt go over 55 mph and the transmission stopped working. Had to tow it home. When i contacted them about the issues. they pretty much laughed at me. I think they stole my tyranny put that junk in there.
Very crooked company and stay clear away from them. Bad morels and ethics.

Well here we are 1 month later. Truck is getting new transmission. Had to sit stopped till I could get it in. Shop says this tyranny was recently installed and a poor job. That means you lied again. 3900.00 you have cost me. Not to mention the down time. You are very dishonest and lie. GOD WILL DEAL WITH YOU. I'm giving you free advertising to all my customers everyday. I make a point in all 3 of my stores to make sure my sales persons mention to every customer to stay away from you peple.

Quality and price seem to be fair, but scheduling and communication are frustrating.

EDITED FOR RESPONSE: The automated system is ok, but you must give it time to work. I called you within 20 minutes of receiving the message (I was at work), and PRIOR to published business closing hours, but everyone was already gone and the car was captive overnight... For a brake job.

Scheduling is probably par for non-dealerships I suppose. I'm more used to a short appt to get it looked at, then another appt with known duration to get the work performed.
